Prunus maritima, 1-year-old bareroot seedlings. These diminutive plums are best called bushes, and they make the most exquisite, sweet little plums the size of grapes. These seedlings range in size up to about 2.5 feet tall with healthy, robust root systems. Their final max height may be about 6 or 7 feet in ideal conditions, with many branches. They are precocious to bear, prolific, and should begin flowering and fruiting in 4 years. They need to cross-pollinate, so plant at least two.
